Croix Public Schools The Public Elementary Schools are located in Fredensborg, Richmond, La Grande Princesse, Kingshill, Concordia, St. Peter, Frederiksted, Sion Farm, Mount Pleasant, Strawberry and Grove Place. St. Croix has two high schools, Central High School in Kingshill, with grades 10-12, and a combined high school and vocational school at Education Complex opposite the University if the Virgin Islands campus. The island has three junior high schools grades 7-9. They are Elena Christian Junior High located in La Grande Princesse, Arthur Richards Junior High in Stoney Ground and John H. Woodson Junior High in Fredensborg. |

| Students can receive Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's Degrees at the University of the Virgin Islands campus in St. Croix. The University attracts a divers population of local residents and student from around the Caribbean and the continental Untied States. The University opened its doors in 1963 in a sprawling facility across from the Cyril E. King Airport once used by the U.S. Navy.
